Hint #8: Coffee Eggnog Punch Recipe

This recipe is sure to be a crowd pleaser. This seems great for holiday parties.

A Christmas punch recipe made with eggnog, coffee and coffee ice cream, whiskey or bourbon, and spices.

Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts chilled purchased eggnog
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 tablespoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 to 1 cup whiskey or bourbon
  • 1 quart coffee ice cream
  • sweetened whipped cream
  • freshly grated nutmeg

Preparation:

Combine eggnog, brown sugar, instant coffee and spices in a large mixing bowl; beat at low speed with an electric mixer until sugar dissolves. Chill 15 minutes; stir until coffee granules dissolve and stir in whiskey. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. Pour into punch bowl or individual cups, leaving enough room for ice cream. Top with scoops of ice cream. Garnish each serving as desired with whipped cream and a grating of nutmeg.
