Harvest Coffee Cider

The air is crisp and the leaves and starting to change. The harvest season is in full effect and there is nothing better then warming up with a steaming cup of coffee after picking pumpkins from the pumpkin patch or taking a scenic drive through the country side to see the Fall foliage. This recipe for Harvest Coffee Cider will cretaintly do the trick!

  • ¼ cup coffee grounds
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup brown sugar or honey
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 3 cups cold water

Place coffee and cinnamon in brew basket of coffee maker. Place sugar and apple juice in the bottom of the coffee pot. Add water to coffee maker and brew. When brewing is complete, stir until well mixed. This recipe tends to be a little messy, so using powder DIP-IT is especially helpful when cleaning the stains off your carafe and brewing basket and for always attaining the best tasting coffee. For cleaning the water circulation system, use the liquid form.

Autumn Coffee Treats

Fall has arrived and this is my favorite time of year, especially for coffee and coffee treats! One of my favorite coffee drinks is simply pumpkin spiced flavored coffee and lattes. I have been trying pumpkin flavored coffee drinks at all of my favorite and local coffee shops. Starbucks is definitely in the lead, with their pumpkin spiced latte, I haven't tried one that has surpassed it yet this season.

With the holiday season approaching some of us my want t
o save some dough and here is a great recipe for making a pumpkin spice latte at home!

Ingredients:
--2 cups milk (I used 1%)

--2 T canned pumpkin

--2 T white sugar
--2 T vanilla (not a typo. it asks for tablespoons)

--1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
OR: 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp cloves, 1/8 tsp nutmeg, and a teeny tiny pinch of ground ginger
--1/2 cup brewed espresso or 3/4 cup strong brewed coffee
--garnish with whipped cream (optional)

Directions:
Add the coffee/espresso and milk to the Crock Pot. Whisk in the pumpkin, spices, sugar, and vanilla.
Cover and cook on high for 2 hours if everything is cold. Whisk again. Ladle into mugs, and garnish
with whipped cream and additional cinnamon.
